A sounding yes in the European Parliament in February 2019 settles the landmark free trade agreement between the EU and Singapore.
The agreement will gradually eliminate nearly all tariffs on goods over the next five years. The agreement will also make it easier for companies from EU countries to sell services in Singapore.
Aside from lowering the cost of doing business and opening new opportunities for businesses on both sides, the European Union-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA) will also allow EU firms to compete for public procurement contracts in Singapore.

we have analysed the content of the new EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement. To provide an overview for Danish businesses, Søren Rinder and Humera Arshad from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs will join us to share their insights on the benefits of the trade agreement for Danish companies exporting to and importing from Singapore
Both Søren and Humera have several years of experience giving concrete guidance to Danish companies. Their guidance focuses on how Danish companies benefit from the trade agreements that the EU has concluded with almost 70 markets outside the Union.
