It is not often that DABS steps almost two thousand years back in time to capture and share the thinking of a Roman emperor to an audience on the other side of the world. And ‘Meditations’ by Marcus Aurelius is not a business book – as a matter of fact it is not even a book, but Marcus Aurelius’ private journal which was never intended for publishing. But published is was, and ever since it has inspired leaders all over the world because of its timeless wisdom about human behaviour. Marcus Aurelius was one of the leading stoic philosophers, and his thinking focuses on building mental toughness and getting your priorities right whilst at the same time demonstrating both kindness and humility.
‘Meditations’ is a book about the attributes and characteristics humans should cultivate. The book is more relevant than ever as it helps you build a foundation in a world which is becoming more and more erratic.
