DABS Coffee Meeting webinar: "Mediation as a Method of Dispute Resolution"
This coffee meeting will introduce you to Mediation as a dispute resolution option, discussing what is mediation and in which situation can this use to resolve disputes, and how it is done here in Singapore (and other places).

The experience shows that more than 70% of the cases being mediated are being resolved and most of them are done during only one day of mediation. Its therefore a swift and in-expensive way of resolving your commercial disputes saving you a lot of time and money and at the same in most cases maintaining your business relationship that often goes sour when a dispute is resolved via the arbitration or court system.
This Coffee meeting will be lead by Frank M Andersen who is an Accredited Mediator with Singapore Mediation Centre as well as with Singapore International Mediation Institute and a Qualified Mediator with the the International Mediation Institute.
Keynote Speaker See Chern Yang
Chern Yang is a Director at Drew & Napier LLC, the most celebrated dispute resolution practice in Singapore. Chern Yang is a seasoned mediator and has attended advanced mediation training by the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University School of Law and the Harvard Negotiation Institute, Harvard Law School.
Chern Yang is one of the youngest to be appointed as a Principal Mediator of the Singapore Mediation Centre, and as an International Mediator at the Singapore International Mediation Centre.
Chern Yang also has an active litigation practice and handles a wide range of disputes involving commercial matters, professional misconduct or negligence, data protection matters and matrimonial matters. He often speaks at disputes and mediation conferences and has authored a number of mediation and family law chapters.
The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific 2019 edition has praised Chern Yang as “a good team player” and “strategic thinker”. He is presently vice-chairperson of the Law Society’s Mediation Committee and Society of Mediation Professionals (Singapore).
DABS Board Member and Speaker Frank M Andersen
Frank describes himself as a passionate maritime expert and a persuasive salesperson with multi-cultural understanding and a transformational leader, having over 30 years of experience working for A.P. Moller – Maersk (25 Years), Lloyds Chartering (2 years) and Klaveness (6 years) internationally.
In addition, Frank has also been working as a consultant for several shipping and technology companies as well as a subject matter expert for major consultancy firms.
